In a surprising partnership that defies usual predictions, the game developer has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Uncovered

According to the authorized release, "A strange meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of forbidden rituals and terrifying changes echo through the darkness." The storyline presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret group.

The questline concentrates on "strange tests and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Transformations

The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Additional Features

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an exclusive katana together with multiple items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
