Loyal followers of the pop star are urging that a individual who leaped a barricade and seized the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be detained or deported from Singapore.

A viral video reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing camera operators and charging at Grande while the cast made its way down a yellow carpet surrounded by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "free after being taken in", though court documents showed that he was due to appear on the following morning. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

History of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram profile contains clips of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney performance in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last December.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is evidently a punishable act," commented an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Voice Worry Over the Star's Past Trauma

Many supporters criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote one more message on Instagram.

Several attendees also criticised event staff at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals called for online networks to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Premiere Information

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed shocked when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of Singapore attendees had queued up to meet the performers of Wicked

Many of attendees had assembled in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The film, to be premiered on November 21, is the sequel of a two-part version of the well-known theatrical production Wicked, which centers on the surprising relationship between two very different characters.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a light pink sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of 2024 in the UK, and scored 10 Oscar nominations, securing a pair for outstanding attire and set decoration.
