Former Physician Accused of Assault Allegations Involving Thirty-Eight Patients

Legal authorities have stated that a ex- doctor now faces charges for committing sexual assaults against thirty-eight victims who were under his care.

Details of the Serious Charges

Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of acts of sexual assault – some of which involve some against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 to 2021.

A senior prosecutor commented, “Legal teams have worked at length to assist a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”

Scope of the Investigation

These allegations follow what police called a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.

Spencer is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

The charging documents said the forty-five charges he is charged with:

• 15 counts of sexual assault.
• 17 counts of penetrative assault.
• Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
• 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
• 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.
