Liverpool's Star Issues Apology to Squad, Says Curtis Jones

Jones has disclosed that Salah apologised to the group of players after the fallout from his recent interview.

The Fallout

Salah was left out from a key Champions League match following voicing frustrations and stating his connection to the head coach had broken down.

ā€œMo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,ā€ Jones revealed. ā€œHe said sorry to the group and was like: ā€˜Should anyone feel slighted, I'm sorry.ā€™ā€

The head coach has previously declined to comment publicly on whether he was apologised to from the player.

Team Unity

The player stated that the dressing room atmosphere stayed normal. ā€œNothing about him changed, his demeanour was positive and we all treated him normally,ā€ Jones added.

He also suggested that a teammate fighting for a place is a positive trait. ā€œI get that there are different methods you can express yourself,ā€ he said. ā€œBut if a lad’s fine to just sit out, then I think that’s a bigger problem.ā€

Team Form

Liverpool's form have stayed unbeaten in the period after the interview fallout. The player is convinced the outburst were never meant to cause disruption.

ā€œIf passion has boiled over, the source has been from a good place,ā€ the midfielder stated. ā€œWe’re past that now and we’re uniting strongly, playing well and on a positive run.ā€
