The Fifth Toy Story Film Teaser Sets The Beloved Duo Against a Digital Device

It has been 30 anniversary after the original Toy Story movie was released, establishing Pixar as a major animation studio and bringing audiences to beloved characters like the cowboy doll (the actor) and the space ranger (the voice talent), who are now famous worldwide.

In 2026, the next chapter is scheduled for release. The initial preview for Toy Story 5 landed recently, providing a brief look into the storyline but leaving fans wondering how it will resolve the conclusion of Toy Story 4.

The Latest Addition: A Frog-Shaped Tablet Spooks the Gang

In the teaser reveals the young girl — who received the toy collection when he grew up — receiving a latest toy, one that terrifies Woody, Buzz, and the crew. Bonnie gets her first tablet computer, and she is thrilled about it.

Theoretically, the frog-shaped tablet will come to life just like the rest of her playthings. Still, the toys appear to consider it as a danger coming to replace them, which it probably is.

Woody's Return: Mysteries from Toy Story 4

An element the teaser avoids is why Woody is back with his companions in the child's bedroom. The finale of Toy Story 4 depicted him embark on a new adventure with the shepherdess (Annie Potts), traveling with a carnival and assisting prize toys find good homes.

Certainly, the filmmakers will explain the aftermath of Toy Story 4 in the movie. Witnessing him appear in Bonnie's room without warning is somewhat puzzling, however. It also raises questions whether his partner will have returned with Woody. And where is the stuntman toy (Keanu Reeves)?

Continuity from the Previous Film

At the very least, some aspects are carrying over from the earlier movie. The last thing Woody did before setting off for his new life was pass his sheriff badge to the cowgirl (Joan Cusack), entrusting her as the leader of the toy domain. The clip displays the insignia attached to her shirt.

It is hoped she is remains the key figure among the toys.
